Professor Douglas Storm, is a genius inventor and very capable engineer. He designed the Elizabeth Swann, including the integration of Hal and Captain Nemo - and Merlin, the defence weapons: Excalibur and Pendragon.
Knowing that he has been the target of much unwanted attention from local and international authorities, he entrusts the protection of his estate to George Franks, one of the cleverest legal brains in the world. Together, they create a Trust, with George as the managing Trustee, of charitable foundation, aimed at protecting John and the planet, for future generations.
The Professor charges George to look after his nephew. Knowing that there would be tough times ahead for the ocean adventurer, who on occasion was known to ruffle a few feather of those in authority himself. Especially with his activist lobbying antics.
